This was my first time trying a cheap diamond mug so I bought one with 2 pieces not knowing how well it would work. Did what I needed without any problems. Yes, the inner washer doesn't fit snugly, but it does keep it from dangling on the shaft after tightening. The lock nut on my traded dwe402 was larger than a flat on the wheel so it popped out a bit on the side, but I was still able to secure the blade and leave the cover in place. Some people complain about the dust, but if you grind the stone surface with a grinding wheel, there will be a lot of dust, so be prepared. worked for me
