I've never liked a wireless mouse. I've seen too many where are the batteries hunts to want to end up at 2am with no batteries and a dead or dying mouse. With the ability to charge this while in use I don't have to worry as much anymore. So I took a chance and bought it. My first impression was that it was a good size and weight that felt pretty good in my hand. USB-C for charging (very nice) and a magnetic holder for your key on the bottom of the mouse. Then I connected it. The first thing I noticed was, that the logo appeared to have a dead center in the lower right corner near the bottom of the wing. Makes it look cheap. The light ring at the base is very pretty and the color looks very even. And then I tried to get the software. The place you were advised to find the software (redragonzone dot com) had the software for download. light enough. Launched and immediately gone to change color. nope I've tried everything; connected, disconnected, saved and loaded the profile, restarted. The list goes on. I couldn't change the color of the light. Then I noticed that the software GUI image on the Revain page didn't look anything like the one I was using, so I took a look. I found other software on another site redragonusa dot com. This was much newer and looked the same as the software on the product page. And it worked. I was finally able to change the lighting - or part of it. Underlight and logo only. The DPI indicator LEDs only light up red. They are stuck on the top of your mouse with bright red lights. Then the scroll wheel, which only lights up when plugged in to indicate the charge level, and then only from red (yellow) to green, although our own images make it jerky. Also, while charging, the base display will not show your personal color choice until it is fully charged. I was happy to see I have my color when I plug it in, but now there's a big glowing green wheel! PRICE? So my mouse now has a blue base (corresponding to anything with LEDs connected to my computer), 3 glowing red lights, and a huge bright green. Aesthetically, it sucks unless you've gone green, red, or a combination of the two. I'm stuck trying to figure out the difference between "Eco" and "Off". since there is no backlight in either mode, even when using a mouse, except for those stupid red DPI lights. Otherwise the mouse seemed to work anyway. Turning off the "Off" switch will only turn it off when not connected to the network. Good to know. My final opinion: This mouse works very well and gets the job done. Battery life seems pretty good so that's a plus. It's very fluid, the buttons feel great, the left click is a little tighter than the right click, and I really like it. It's the LEDs that make me sad. It could be so beautiful. I get a battery saver mode, so no wheel when unplugged. But why does it HAVE to be green when charging? Why can't we change the color to match, or at least darken it? I know it seems so small but some of us will stop by here. But in the end it is But why does it HAVE to be green when charging? Why can't we change the color to match, or at least darken it?
