I was prepared to buy a case for these but when they were delivered, not only was a case inside of the box but was so was a bag with the sunglasses inside. As soon as I opened this up, I went outside to test these out. While I didn't look directly at the sun, I was facing the sun in that general direction to see if they actually helped and didn't require me to squint. These not only helped protect the sun from my eyes but I didn't have to squint to further help protect my eyes. My eyes were fully opened the whole time. The sunglasses themselves are really lightweight and allow me to wear them for long periods of time. What I was really impressed with was they don't fall off of my face or start to slide. Even with running and sweating, they still stay on my face. The case is a mixture of hard and soft case but still protects my sunglasses when they're inside of my backpack or any travel bag. I've worn these for hikes, runs, during camping trips and even fishing trips while being in a boat. Not only did they stay on my face but protected my eyes from the sun.
