Review on 🏒 GAMDIAS Talos E1 Computer Case: Durability, Versatility, and Style Combined by Ninh Quang Truong ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

The body is the best, delight! Before buying it, I studied various models for a long time, I was looking for a MiniTower case within 3500, and I can say with confidence that you will not find anything better, the leader in terms of price / quality ratio among cases of this type. The only competitor to this case in this price category is AeroCool Cylon Mini, which in the TG variation with tempered side glass (rather than acrylic), costs 200 cheaper than Gamdias-a, it is almost impossible to find it in retail, despite the Cylon quality Much worse is both the plastic and the metal of the case with its "foil", in the dns appreciated. And that's it, the competitors end there, everything else is more expensive. The manufacturer, as I understand it, has just entered the case market and is still probing its price niche, so over time it may well rise in price. Bought for 2900 plus shipping. And what do you get for that price? Yes, I think that everything you need regarding the requirements for the MiniTower case, I will not get tired of repeating about two tempered glasses, and even a side glass that sits on hinges, no manufacturer will offer you such a quality and a set of goodies for this price. There is enough space for wires. For some, the lack of a dust filter for built-in turntables may be a minus, but if you put filters everywhere, air will get into the case worse. The built-in RGB turntables are very quiet, no worse than the excellent Thermaltake Pure 12, there is enough space behind the metal side wall to hide all the cables, the case is perfectly ventilated due to the two top turntables (of course, only if you put them). System Ryzen 2200G, RX580, 2xSSD 240 Gb, 8 gb RAM, in idle time the temperature of the processor and video card does not exceed 31Β°C, in load no more than 45Β°C for the processor and 66Β°C of the video card, I do not overclock. In the old MidiTower case without top airflow, temperatures were 6-10Β°C higher under load, 3-4Β°C higher at idle. I am extremely satisfied with the case, I recommend it for purchase, there are no alternatives at this price yet, not even close by.

Pros
  • 1) The design is awesome, it looks much more expensive than its cost. 2) The thickness of the metal, the wall does not bend at all due to the thick stiffening ribs; 3) Two (!) tempered glass, side and on the front panel, and the side glass is hinged with the ability to remove it!; 4) Excellent ventilation and circulation, warm air does not walk around the case; 5) Possibility to install CBO or 3 additional case fans, and 140 mm turntables will fit on the top surface, and all this in a Mini-Tower case; 6) 2 beautiful, quiet RGB fans, the presence of a control unit for their illumination with the ability to connect additional turntables (the speed is not adjustable) 7) The overall build quality and case materials: plastic, metal, glass, everything is on top; 8) Support for synchronization with various RGB systems from Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, ASRock, but be careful and read the disadvantage described below. 9) Dust filters on the top and under the power supply
Cons
  • 1) The manufacturer claims to support synchronization of fan lighting with GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, ASRock Polychrome RGB systems, but the manufacturer forgot to clarify that the turntable control unit has an output for RGB 5v 3pin lighting (on the motherboard this is a connector ADD_HEADER, D_LED1 which not all motherboards have), while on most motherboards there is only an RBG_HEADER output on 12v 4pin, or an LED CPU, so if you want to synchronize the backlight of turntables with your system, immediately find out if you have a suitable connector for 5v 3pin for backlight. 2) If on your power supply the SATA cable wires are routed through this SATA port, and not routed behind it to the power input and output of the port (for understanding in the search, find the Chieftec Force CPS wires, and you will understand what we are talking about), then you have it just won’t work to install a second disk normally (behind the motherboard or on the HDD bay), the wires will simply rest against the case and interfere with connecting to the disk. The problem is solved by a SATA-SATA adapter. If you have a modular PSU - there will definitely be no problems For me personally, the shortcomings are not critical, I knew about them even before the acquisition, I wrote so that you know what you might encounter when choosing / buying.

Pros: - Looks nice - Affordable price - Compact - Tempered glass in the form of a door that can be opened - Purge Some cons: - There is not enough space for cable management (but I knew about it before buying, as everyone writes about it)
