Convenient and inexpensive
Well, before that we had stone coasters. They got dirty and rough after being hit with anything and were not easy to clean. I can just put them in the dishwasher and they are very easy to care for. These aren't the fanciest or nearly stylish coasters, but they are effective and make cleaning easier for me.
