Review on Remington Balder Shaver Black Count by Jamie Studebaker

Background/Experience: I have used foil (wet and dry), Harry's Razor and a reversible safety razor to shave my head. This rotary razor was supposedly designed for wet/dry shaving of the scalp. Well, he's doing a terrible job. Cons: Terrible razor burn, even with good quality shaving gel. No time savings compared to other methods. Shaves unevenly (even compared to a unidirectional razor). Does not shave as smoothly as a foil razor. Too expensive for its quality. Fragile like glass. Let me explain the last one. The floor in my bathroom is covered with soft faux wood vinyl. I've dropped glass drinking cups, cologne bottles, glass dropper bottles, etc. on this floor and none of them have broken. (I've also dropped my electric foil shaver without damaging it.) Not so with this Remington trash razor. This razor with a plastic blade guard fell about 2.5 feet (off the counter), landed on a towel and broke. The flexible rubber neck came loose, a screw popped out and a pair of plastic pins broke off. So I believe it's more fragile than glass. Definitely more fragile than electric foil shavers at a comparable price. If it had landed on hard tile rather than a soft towel over vinyl then I might have realized how much damage it is. Final words: complete and utter rubbish. I can't stress this enough. But if you want to trim your scalp with an overpriced, poorly constructed, fragile electric razor, then the Remington brand is the place to go.
