Review on πŸ”Œ 303B Fuse Buddy ESI Adapter: Enhanced SEO-Friendly Product Name by Dino Burks

Simplifies circuit troubleshooting. but I have questions about the specs

Bought the 303B to fix an annoying "phantom power leak" problem. Later, on another project, I used it to determine "how much more" I could load the circuit and still safely stay within the OEM specified fuse ratings. However, I have questions (and comments on the product documentation): 1. The specified measurement range is listed as "20A / 48VAC DC? AC-10 sec" which means the device stays on circuit for only 10 seconds, when connected a 20A circuit 2. Also, there is a column for "Accuracy" in the product specs in the manual. I don't understand why using this device (fitted with 14 gauge wire) would affect the DMM reading by plus/minus 2% as advertised, and certainly not by plus 2% Insertion problem on the 304B and 302M versions with display Overall very good what I did The only suggestion (mentioned by others) I could make is to reverse engineer the unit to be used with fuse blocks that had limited headroom. I went ahead and made a pair of 1 1/2 foot long "extensions" using two insulated female spade terminals, 14 ga wire and two bare spade terminals. I don't need them yet, but now I have them for when I have to deal with the unfriendly 303B fuse box in the future.

Pros
  • Fuses
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
