My little dog weighs 15 pounds. My bed is high and one night he injured himself jumping off it. I thought they were perfect! Height is ok. Should work. BUT the foam on the stairs is not stable, it shifts just enough to scare my little one. Second, the width and height of the steps are not designed for small dogs. I'm going to ask a carpenter to make a wooden 'case' for the steps to fit in to (hopefully) give them the stability needed for my little one to use them despite the awkward proportions. Otherwise it's wasted money. When you order these you know you are getting 100% foam with no other support and honestly the foam is not the best for this type of product. I slept on hotel pillows that kept getting firmer.
