When I first bought these it was because my original plastic dog steps broke. I bought them because they don't break because they are made of styrofoam. I have a medium sized dog and at first he was afraid to approach them. I think he felt it wouldn't support his weight. After about a month he finally got used to them and now he uses them regularly and I love them because they are light and I can move them very easily and they never break.

About a year and a half have passed since we bought these steps. They are used every day. A few months ago they started to give way when our dog used them. The foam has become softer and more pliable over time. At the moment they are left to decay as they fall apart underneath. Given the cost, I don't mind replacing them after a year and a half.
