I've used the same basic body design on all my phones for decades. This one is very similar (it had to be to be acceptable), but it's just a few notches better. It's a durable industrial material, but feels a little more sleek than the industrial look of my previous cases. I have to buy a new case with every new phone. I always strive to repeat the same quality and design of the case as before. In this case, I found several of the same quality and design, but settled on this Encased Galaxy Note 9 Belt Holster instead, and I'm glad I did. As I said, the material is a little smoother, but it also seems to work a little better. Of course, the increase in performance could be due to the improved design of the phone. I used to have an older Galaxy Note and before that a Motorola so the shapes were a bit different. One of the main problems of the previous cases was that my phone often jumped out of the holster in the car and in many cases I could hardly find it again. I went to get my phone and found it was gone and then I found my phone in the car seat. It was worse when I was driving in someone else's car and noticed my phone on the car seat after I got out and I was lucky to be able to collect my phone before the person left with it. Fumbling instinctively for the phone each time became a habit. I got out of the car. Something I never wanted to do but was driven by the need not to lose my phone. These covers offered great protection when you weren't in the car. A risky venture back then. This Encased Galaxy Note 9 Belt Holster isn't perfect, but it does provide better protection for your phone. I found it pulled out of the holster a few inches and we hope Encased can improve on it in future projects. But she hasn't released her phone far enough from the holster to fall into the seat. This is a big improvement, although this problem is not completely solved. It may still fall out as it is sometimes pushed out a bit. Overall this is a great case and holster.
