Throw away the yak tracks and buy these. Unless you're walking the pavement, yaks are a waste of time. I've used them over a dozen times now, driving through the woods where there is heavy snow and ice. I even used them in my area when 12 inches of snow fell. They are easy to put on, easy to take off, easy to clean and easy to store. And they are nice and compact. They are significantly heavier than some cheap items like yaks. But in this particular case, heavier means safer. Without such things, it would not be possible to ski down ice-covered places like Mount Xi.
