I bought them because again in the winter I couldn't find what I was doing with my Yaktraks. I have always loved yaktrac but the price was much higher than the mattisam. I decided to try these. I was right between the sizes and went for the larger one as getting the Yaktrac to the full length of my shoe was always a problem. I don't know if the larger size made a difference but I really like it. They're a lot easier to put on and work the same way, plus they come with a decent carry case which is really nice and they have a supportive strap. Haven't really used it yet as I have no problem holding them which has been a problem with Yaktrac. Save your money and get it, I don't think you will be disappointed.
