I bought this charger to replace the one my dog ate. model number and everything was great. Worked well for 3 weeks. Then one day it was my turn, went outside for about thirty minutes, came back and the computer was very hot and wouldn't turn on. It smelled like fried electricity so I removed the backing and there was a component that almost caught fire. It melted and the area around it burned. Tip: When buying a new laptop. Try your best to buy several original chargers at the same time. So the manufacturer cannot tell you that they no longer make these chargers.
