I did a lot of research on balance bikes before deciding on this one for my four year old daughter. Most balance bikes have a maximum seat height of around 15 inches and I was looking for something taller as my daughter is tall for her age. One of the other Diamondback Lil Push Bike reviewers said that the seat height with this lowest setting is 15 inches, which logically means the highest setting is taller, maybe 17 inches. Perfect I thought. However, this is NOT TRUE. We adjusted the seat to be as secure as possible and it's only 15.5 inches off the ground. The shortest setting is approximately 12.5 inches (if serving build memory). My daughter is like a crab trying to push it but she loves it and her sister will soon fit the lowest level so we're keeping it. BENEFITS - Well built bike frame with real rubber tires, not those cheap plastic tires. can be found on most wheels (e.g. Striders). - Cute and unique white bike design. "Much cheaper than Striders and I appreciate my daughter's bike is different to what all the other kids in town ride. It's easy to spot in the park or at the farmer's market. CON (for me) - The seating area is only 12.5-15.5 inches, which is way too small for older kids or late balance riders. Overall a great bike, not very suitable for older children. Ideal for a 2-3 year old child. We removed the pedals from my daughter's regular 12" bike and this will be the correct height when she outgrows the Diamondback.
