Review on 2-Pack of DirecTV SWM Approved Wide Band Splitter with 2-Way Capability by Vaibhav Karger

I bought this splitter to connect the DirecTV service to two TVs but it is not possible. I'm guessing DirecTV follows this practice, or maybe the signals are just too big these days, but when I tried splitting the cable to TV #1 and getting a second TV, it didn't work. The picture appears and disappears, some channels are fine, some don't appear at all, and if you change the channel on TV #1, the picture on TV #2 may disappear completely ("No Service"). These days I'm not sure if such a splitter is worth a penny. (This used to work great when I was in college, you could hook up as many TVs as you wanted with just 1 wire running into the house. We used to have one wire split into 6 different TVs, no problem more.) I'm assuming the splitter isn't to blame, but I wouldn't waste your money.
