Review on Black Plastic & Vinyl Trim Restorer - Car and Truck Polish Solution - 12 oz by Cool Martin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

7 months of intensive exterior care

Update: April 8, 2020 It has been seven months since I applied this solution to my finish. It hasn't changed at all, it's a bit dirty now, but it's my own work. This is a durable finish for your car. (I've since added a sun visor to the hood.) September 14, 2019 I was expecting it to be a little darker, more black, less grey. I've applied it to at least four different plastics and machined them all. The only downside was that one plastic was darker than the other (see picture), luckily this piece is closer to the bottom and the difference isn't that big. I bought 12 oz because my car has a lot of trim, I could have bought less. I will use it again anyway. I didn't know what to expect when it came into contact with water, I accidentally spilled something on the piece and it had no effect. People who mention this in their review most likely received and traded a fake or bait. Someone mentioned it might be a black spot so I sniffed it and it didn't smell like a spot to me, that could be the main clue to a fake if it's fake. I recommend making a small test pattern, preferably on the underside of the plastic or somewhere you can't see it very well. I don't want anyone ruining their finish because some idiot salesman is trying to make a few extra bucks. Also check the weather forecast and make sure it won't rain or that you have a canopy over the car so the restorer can take the time to set it up. (Treat this like you just painted your car, it takes time.) I'll try to add pictures later and show you how it's holding up.
