Note for self-closing doors with spring hinges
The doorstop is easy to align and comes with two adhesive pads for the stopper and magnet. The door I wanted to use this on is the door between my garage and kitchen that has spring hinges to automatically close the door. The magnet holding the door open could not overcome the force of the spring hinges holding the door open. When I reduced the tension on the springs to a level where the magnet would hold the door open, there wasn't enough spring tension to force the door to close completely.
