Review on Tailgate Door Latch with Power Locks for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 3.6L 3.8L | 4589584AG 4589584AF 4589584AD by Dink Rivas

Installed in a few minutes and trunk closed. But then I couldn't open the tailgate. I heard the lock click, but the deadbolt didn't open when I pushed the button on the door handle. After about 30 minutes of crawling through the tailgate and accessing the air vent, I found the trunk's emergency release lever, which opened the latch. See circled lever in my uploaded photo. There was no handle attached to this emergency release, probably because this app is for the Jeep Wrangler. I ended up attaching a makeshift handle to it because sometimes I sleep in my jeep when I'm on the road. Anyway, I did a little research and found that there is a slightly hidden adjustment screw. Too bad I don't have this photo. I adjusted the screw positions to match the old latch and it works fine. Hope that helps.
