    DO NOT BUY! good for truck body and tailgate accessories

    I ordered this part and installed it and it worked great the first few times, then I closed it and now it won't open, must take with a store to open now, next time I will not buy a cheap Revain substitute

    2nd time was a charm!

    Ordered this part. twice! The first just didn't work. I even brought it to the store and they couldn't get it to work. No problem getting a replacement and bam. Like new on the 2nd try! Don't pay someone to fix it for you. Super easy on my 09 Wrangler.

    Perfect spare part!

    This is the ideal replacement part. Be sure to make the adjustment with the small screw on the side with torx screws. If you don't, you'll lock the jeep when you close the door. Then you have to use the emergency release. That happened to me. :) See instructions above. It was easy to install!

    Excellent replacement, best in exterior accessories

    We received a lock and installed it on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler and it worked fine. We had some trouble with this part 3 months later when we were installing all the doors and top on our jeep. We noticed that it doesn't close. I contacted the seller and they sent me another one FAST! We installed it and had no problems. Great seller, quick response! And a great product.

    So far so good, but I have a few installation tips.

    Installed in a few minutes and trunk closed. But then I couldn't open the tailgate. I heard the lock click, but the deadbolt didn't open when I pushed the button on the door handle. After about 30 minutes of crawling through the tailgate and accessing the air vent, I found the trunk's emergency release lever, which opened the latch. See circled lever in my uploaded photo. There was no handle attached to this emergency release, probably because this app is for the Jeep Wrangler. I ended up…

    Groovy one-to-one replacement

    Works great when you're not in a hurry. See instructions below: 1. Open the tailgate 2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal (black, not red)3. Carefully remove the air vent with the plastic trim on the inside of the tailgate4. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the locking mechanism (press the top of the tab and pull it towards you) 5. Disconnect the green clip from the first metal bar (pull the green clip from 12 to the right to 3) and pull metal bar from the locking mechanism 6…
