I almost returned it because it was so stiff and he hated it…then I did some dramatic trimming of the over the face strap to make it fit with no extra strap flapping on top and baited him with some of his favorite treats and worked the leather a LOT to soften it.It is a game changer for us once it was soft ,comfortable fit and he had gained about 3lbs from treats for reassurance.I no longer worry when he is snorting into the bushes that he will grab someone’s old chicken bone or whatever nasty thing people throw away.Also when i am accosted by a local in our ally it looks pretty dramatic when you have your dog standing next to you and you slip that muzzle of and say "BACK OFF NOW”Once you get this fitted perfectly you can slip it on and off with ease .
