We bought these boots for our Australian dog Millie. We live in Tucson, it can get very hot here and of course the streets are very hot. Millie doesn't mind wearing boots. They are easy to put on. I had to tighten the velcro a bit. Millie doesn't seem to mind how tight they are. We walk her about 1 mile every day, no more than 1 mile. I can't comment on how good they are for a dog that walks a lot. The size. We used the suggested size chart and measured her paws. I bought the recommended size. It seems to fit well.
