I have tried using this as directed but the bevel on the claw seems to be sharpened at the wrong angle so with enough pressure it will spring up and release the board you want to reject. It can be done, but someone has to stand by it. The next problem seems to be how close your nailer can get to the tool. Perhaps the handle of the nailer I use (Dewalt) is unusually large, but I don't think so. I don't know if the more expensive "Pro" works better, but this one doesn't work as advertised. I'd like to use what worked as the boards I've used (Great Lakes Flooring), 3/4" oak, by Menards, seems to have pretty poor quality control, and such a device can come in handy. I always am not yet a professional floor layer.
