So update this review on 7/22/18. A product I still have the same opinion about, but I will say that the customer service from Retivus is amazing. They really want to improve their product and called me to make it right and sent me another mic to replace the one that didn't work. I look forward to future iterations of this product. Since then I've loved the Radio HD1, it's a really good device that combines almost the best of all worlds. Based on customer service I'm increasing my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars but can't give a 5 because the mic itself still doesn't live up to my expectations, but they care and are working on the issues. Thank you again for a pleasant experience! So I ordered two of these for a pair of HD1s. Received them last week and put the first one in, seemed to work fine, was smaller than I thought it would be and that's fine. There is an LED on the microphone and it doesn't work, I don't know what it's for. So I thought I'd see how the sound quality was and hooked up a second mic. Well this one turns on the radio and the microphone part works but there is no sound coming out of the speaker and the LED on that one doesn't work either. Therefore, quality control during their manufacture is questionable. I have requested a return for both devices and will be sending them back this week.
