I was amazed at the beautiful appearance of this belt when I saw it as a Vine sacrifice. However, the main reason I chose this is the advertised ability to properly attach the belt by cutting it to the correct length and then repositioning the buckle. It sounded great. When I received it, it was packed in a beautiful cardboard gift box, just like the best belt pack. I immediately liked the color and the general appearance is even better than in the photo. The color is brown but cordovan. Spicy. Good buckle, solid stitching, black metal. When I opened it after admiring the look, I thought about how to change its size. The buckle can be removed, but it must be unscrewed, not just loosened. The strap must be adjusted to fit the wearer and cut off the end of the buckle after removal. This part is easy and the chart will help determine the correct length. Unfortunately, there are difficulties here. The product description says "no more holes" which means no additional holes need to be punched for the buckle tongue. What isn't said is that a hole still needs to be punched to screw the buckle back into the belt. When trimming, the existing buckle hole is cut off. I don't know if many people have a durable leather punch, but I don't. There is a problem. I can assure you that a single-hole paper punch just doesn't work with leather or anything labeled leather (although apparently only the bottom is real leather and the top is some sort of composite material). The description of the belt suggests that it is easy to resize, however this is not the case as a hole needs to be added for the buckle. to wear with jeans etc. I received a beautiful belt that is perfect for a person who weighs about 60 pounds. heavier than me and 10 inches taller in the middle. I wear a 32" belt and it will probably fit a 42" or 44" belt. If I was that size I would give it 4 or maybe 5 stars but then I wouldn't choose a strap that is described as adjustable. Be that as it may, punching a hole in sturdy leather to size it is a much more difficult task than the description might suggest. Too bad because I was really looking forward to wearing it. Since I don't plan on scaling up to actually fit it, it seems unlikely I'll ever be able to use it. I would have liked a clearer and more detailed product description. If you can wear a 42 inch belt or have leatherworking tools, go for it. Otherwise be careful.
