This was for my wife whose previous iron apparently stopped working after a few years. So far she has had this for a month and she loves it. She says it's at least as good as the previous one, which cost her about $20 to $25 more. At around $40, it's definitely not very expensive for an iron, but it feels solid and doesn't seem to show any signs of performance issues. It heats up quickly and allows my wife to style her hair like she used to. She says she will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a straightener now.
