Careful with the "protective lacquer "
Extremely extremely extremely upset. The kettle is good, it heats the water well, but the "protective varnish" came off with ordinary old copper cleaner! But only PART of the cover came off. So now my kettle is partly coated, partly uncoated and now looks so cheap and unfortunately quite tasteless. Such an expensive item and I have not seen any warnings against using certain cleaners especially those made specifically for copper!
