I'm just writing this review to let people know that the backrest can be reclined when the chair is connected. If you screw in a chair, the holes for it will be made round instead of round. I didn't tighten any of the screws to the end, and it still turned out that way. I've found that if you tighten all the other screws and loosen the screws for the back plate to the point where it pushes the back to its extreme point onto the round holes, that puts it in a pretty good position. Close enough to the spirit level that you can't tell without measuring or using a spirit level. It's also a sturdy and tall chair that's perfect for me but might not necessarily suit someone else. I only gave it 4 stars because I had to figure it out myself but other than that I love the color and everything else about this chair.
