These trays have proven their worth. I use them to make mango bread, banana bread, meatloaf, etc. I read in another review that the lids don't fit, but I wanted people to know that's not the case at all: the lids fit 100% perfectly. on pots with perfect sealing. I also read another review that said they were disposable and again I didn't have such an experience. I suspect the way the pans are prepared might affect this (I used a Pam spray). When I was done I let the pan soak overnight and then washed it out and it cleaned really well leaving nothing in the corners etc so I could use it again. If you're concerned about the overall height with the lid closed, I recommend checking by baking just one loaf and noting how much batter you put in. Once you see it, adjust the rest as necessary.
