What I expected, the square part is silicone. That being said, the bristles are plastic and work quite well, only the bristles are a little softer than I thought. They are good because they were a decent price. They look beautiful and are functional. I also love that I can just stand it upside down with the bristles up on my dryer (I have a washing machine and stack dryer) and it's a decent way to store it. It's a good size that fits in the palm of your hand for cleaning. Combine with Shout or your favorite stain remover and you're done! Would I buy again and will probably buy it again when it's finished.
