Incorrect wiring configuration. Traffic lights were switched to yellow. Running lights were connected to red. We drove 300 miles to pick up a trailer frame for a build we were doing. I hooked up our new headlights so we could tow the trailer home and found we had a problem. My fault for not testing it when the package arrived. We spent a few hours trying to figure out a way around this. But the problem ended up being the headlights. Excellent construction in terms of materials. But in the end they were so well made that the waterproofing completely filled the back of the unit with rubber, so there was no way to get in and fix the cross-wiring without destroying it. The cross wiring issue cost me more than the cost of the unit to get it working and then another $100 to buy an AutoZone unit that would actually help me get the trailer home. plus a few hours of driving in search of a working replacement.
