Just received it yesterday and only tried it once. I charged it fully and connected it to the timex connect app, which took quite a while. Before running, I turned it on to receive the GPS. After a few minutes I lost patience and started jogging anyway. Finally it got connected after about 6 (or more) minutes. I then saved the recording, plugged the USB into my computer and opened the app on my laptop. It connected to the device but continued to go through the setup routine and "updated the firmware" continuously without showing me the dashboard with my mileage logs or anything. Every time I plug the watch back in it returns to the setup and update process. Sometimes he even writes that he updates the firmware when the watch is not even connected. The software is clearly buggy. I will try again tomorrow. I'll turn on the GPS some time before going out and see what happens. I would like to see if the GPS is accurate when connected. UPDATE: I turn on the GPS a few minutes before my run so it can connect. It seems to work. I have this because it doesn't have Bluetooth (which is actually harmful radiation). I just wanted a basic GPS tracker so I didn't have to pull out my phone. Today I like watches because of their simplicity. I don't care about the app. It would be nice, but I appreciate the lack of WiFi and Bluetooth. If you need a clock app to keep track of things, don't buy this clock. This app WILL NOT WORK unless you update the app.
