Best pac boot I've ever owned, and living in Northern MN, I've owned a lot of pac boots! I bought them for ice fishing and they are plenty warm. The soles without the Carbide studs are perhaps the best pac boot for traction I've ever owned, with the studs, they're over the top! I've had other boots with the cable system and didn't think they were great/didn't think they were bad. My only concern there is if the system fails, you can't just go buy a new lace. I'm a huge fan of wool/felt liners, and remove mine every day. You can't do that with these, and that's usually a no go for me. I do own boot dryers and don't mind using them for specialty boots, like ski boots, etc, but want to be able to remove my liners and allow them to air dry each day. I went with these for the Carbide on ice as I had rotator cuff surgery and didn't want to slip and do more damage. I'm glad I did! They don't require a dryer every day, not sure why, but they stay dryer than my normal pac boots. They are super comfortable, and offer great support, where a normal pac boot doesn't. I will not be without going forward. They are my new go to boot.I LOVE EM.
