Review on Barfly M37126 Drink Jigger, 2 Oz, Stainless W/Spout by Rhonda Jennings

The only thing I would change about this is I wish that it had a heavier base for stability.However, it’s easy to read and super accurate!Mls on one side, fluid oz on the other.I weighed my water and checked it against the ml measurements and each step is right on the money!For those who are not familiar with Milliliter measurements - 15 mls is equal to 15 grams of water. Each 15 g of water that I measured out came exactly to the line on the jigger and after doing that for all four steps the 60ml/2oz measurement came exactly to the demarcation between the straight side and the flared lip at the top and weighed 60grams.Now admittedly, for the perfectionists out there (and i confess I am also a perfectionist which is why we are now having this discussion) 2 fluid ounces is not exactly 60 mils. It’s 59.147mls/60ml is 2.0284 of a fluid oz. But ain’t no one detecting that in a mixed drink and without a very strong magnifying glass and a lab beaker you aren’t noticing that in any jigger when you pour.If you are a stickler for such things use the ml measurements and convert your recipes to mls and get a lab beaker. I don’t want to say that would be nuts but …well, it would be and I did just say it. Not to mention risky.In my opinion, thin glass and alcohol and my propensity to wave my arms around when I talk especially after a couple of drinks would have been an accident waiting to happen.So all in all I am extremely happy with the accuracy of this Jigger and I’m super happy about the price. I love that it is unbreakable I really love that it doesn’t have those pesky lines on it that come off in the wash. I didn’t want one with a flimsy handle that was going to detach eventually. This pretty much has everything except perhaps some extra weight or a heavy wider base. There were much pricier models out there - I don’t know if they are heavier but all round I’m super happy with this one and I am happy my search is over!Highly recommended!You might like to follow me on Ebay for more reviews.
