Review on ASUS ZenBook OLED Laptop WQXGA by Dimitar Pashov ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

Bottom line: you need a bright contrast OLED screen, good assembly and a full metal case, and windows - take Asus! You need maximum autonomy, a high-quality IPS screen, the absence of any noise at all, and very good performance - MacBook Air M1 (2 times smaller in memory configuration 8/256).

Pros
  • 1. OLED 2.8K touch screen is of course very high contrast and bright, with true black color. 2. Not bad performance even with integrated graphics 3. Includes pen and leather case. 4. Fast charging 100W via TypeC 5. An excellent set of interfaces (which is a rarity these days for compact laptops) 6. 4 channel RAM and a very fast SSD (the Vivobook series nervously rests on the sidelines). 7. Excellent build quality, full metal body, backlit keyboard. 8. Increased touch, with an imitation of the Num keyboard.
Cons
  • 1. The noise of the coolers is not annoying only in Silent mode (to the detriment of performance). This is not the MacBook Air M1 with its passive cooling. 2. Autonomy of 6 hours in eco and 3 hours under load is not the best indicator for a device of this class (a premium ultrabook, as ASUS positions it). 3. The sensor grid is visible on a white background and is annoying at first, especially when you switch from a high-quality IPS screen. But over time you get used to it. 4. Useless Home - End keys on the right. And not a very logical power key (but with a built-in fingerprint). 5. Very mediocre sound at conferences, even the vaunted Hardman inscription does not save him, the speakers choke in the zoom! But for media content, they are quite enough, low frequencies are pronounced. 6. The quality of a webcam for a laptop of this price segment is simply terrible, remaining at the level of 5-7 years ago, with the slightest decrease in ambient brightness, you will not be seen and noise will appear.
