You get what you paid for. My daughter used this in her school classes so it was MF every week. It was ok at first, but after a couple of weeks it couldn't play the disc without freezing or skipping forward and it made a TERRIBLE noise when cursed. (The discs we use at school are BRAND NEW with no scratches or fingerprints, so they're not the problem.) Then the play button on the front of the unit didn't work, forcing us to use the remote with impossibly small buttons to use, which are VERY difficult to detect. I was initially hesitant to purchase this item because it was a misnamed name and cheap DVD players fit the bill, but I figured since the price isn't the lowest I'd be ok. Probably not - I've had better luck with a DVD player at a flea market than with this junk.
