Most consumer products are easy to install with plug and play. Not this one; it will not work straight out of the box. The filters are wrapped in plastic and do not work. First you need to: (1) Check the manual how to open the left and right side. (2) Pull out the filters from each side, paying careful attention to which side of the filter is in front and which is in back. (3) Remove the plastic sheet that completely covers both filters. (4) Replace the filters and close the sides. Only after that you can start work. The air cleaner sucks in the air on the left and right, the outlet is directed upwards. This device does not show the distance to the device during the measurement, so I measured with the mobile app dB: At 3ft (1m): 40dB High 35dB Medium 22dB Low 20dB Off - quiet room At 1 inch (2 cm): 52 dB high 44 dB medium 32 dB low
