Bought for 6 year old bday. She asked for kinetic sand. This is a great set. It is the size of a little Duplo Lego kit box, which I appreciate b/c we don't have a ton of room for giant containers in the playroom. The inflatable tray is awesome b/c the side get fat enough that you really can contain the sand in the tray. The sand itself if what I hoped for.kinetic sand! It is compact when you squeeze it but then does that melting thing as it feel like it dissolves as you open your fingers up when holding it. It's GREAT for sand sculpting type play. The kids were making all sorts of shapes with cookie cutters and there is a nice amount of cutters that come with the set too. The only drawback is getting the last pieces of sand out of the tray when cleaning up but it's sand, so what can one expect?! Also, the tray seemed harder to blow up than a usual blow up toys. Not horribly difficult, just took harder breathing to fill it up and wasn't as easy as some other inflatable toys. All in all, if you're looking for a kinetic sand kit, this one is a great starter kit. The bag of sand is not giant sized but both my 6 and 8 year olds had fun with what was there. I did not buy colored sand b/c I've heard that the color leaks on to your hands and whatnot. I would definitely recommend this set and this seller.
