They may look like cheap plastic but they work great in my Honda Odyssey 14 van. Now we can listen to music up front while the kids can watch a movie. They run on AAA batteries and seem to last a decent amount of time, but you have to remember to turn off the button on the headphones. Yes the plastic is cheap but they are not original and cost hundreds of dollars! They do what they were designed for and if one of them breaks I can afford to replace it for $20-$30. The sound quality is good, the volume is sufficient for on the go. I've heard they don't work with new GM vehicles that I'm not familiar with. They connected well to my car and had no problems operating.
