my year of manufacture is not listed in the description. When I removed the "old" it had 2M51-F21982-AA stamped on the back. It was black and the trunk release button was worn out, which made the car think the door was open and kept and intermittently emitting an annoying beeping sound. Tutorials on youtube tried to get me to remove the wiring in the glove box and disable the sensor and there wasn't a single OEM part available from RockAuto or locally. Luckily I matched the partial image to this brass colored counterpart. The part was replaced in less than 5 minutes. The torx screws holding this are tightly threaded, so don't over-tighten this simple, cheap solution; the quality seems to be good. I hope this chugs along for a while. If I live with that for 18 months, I'm generally happy. I would buy it again if needed in the next 2-5 years
