Although it took over a month to receive the lantern and the lantern was obviously used and returned before it was sent to me, I received a refund and the lantern works better than I expected would have! There are 4 suction cups on the back to hold it securely. The light charges the same way you charge your phone. I use the charging cable and plug from my droid phone to charge it because there was no cable and plug (or mounting tape). I like that this flashlight holds a charge for a long time. I charge it for about an hour maybe once a week, so I have about 10 hours before it starts to dim. You can also use it while charging. When you notice the light fading, just turn it on and it will instantly brighten. For makeup, this light works best in a room that already has some light. I also like that you can adjust both the brightness and color of the light to get a really bright white light or turn it into a more natural light. This is the best makeup light for this style I've tried.
