This works great as a small charging station in my living room where I often sit and charge my laptop, phone and another USB device. I love the protection that Tripp Lite offers. This is the only line filter brand I will buy for my fine electronics now that I know the risks of using cheaper brands. My only issue is that the two outlets are too close together. You can't use a large transformer plug and expect to use a different outlet. But usually I don't need both. And I've used the slot to put my phone in, but that's not usually the case.
