This little multimeter is a bit bigger than expected and some basic features could be improved. but this is a budget meter. It comes with 44 button cell batteries (better batteries may work) and has no battery cover. So when the cheap batteries run out, you have to pry a screwdriver out. The wires are hardwired and don't fit the lid very well, so regular use is more likely to damage the wires. There's no auto shutoff, so I'll most likely forget to turn it off. Pros Once (off) and closed (after you plug the cords back in), it's a magically compact device, easy to read and use, and magically accurate for its value. If you plan on keeping it for battery storage, checking simple connections, etc., it might (probably) be fine. I wouldn't use more. But this is a compact budget device and I've seen better for the same price. I bought it to test different batteries without having to search for a better/bigger VOM. and it will be good for that.
