I bought a pair of these Rainso straps as a Christmas gift because after reading the reviews I got the impression that the links were easy to remove and the pins easy to replace with the 'tool' provided The bracelet. NOT CORRECT! First off, what the heck is a whippletree? The instructions state that the tip of the pin removal tool should always be inserted sideways without using the whipletree tool. I understood that the whipletree is the non-split side of the pen? Who knows. At least as far as using the "tool” is concerned. First, when screwing the mechanism in and out, the tip rotates back and forth from the center. It swings around its axis. Secondly, this causes the thin pin at the end of the screw to bend! It's useless! I'll be damned if I take it to a jeweler to have it resized. I'm sending them back. I think if you're buying these pieces of junk for someone whose wrist or ankle is the same size as a non-adjustable/non-adjustable bracelet, they'll be fine. Otherwise forget it. Oh, and more importantly, how do you get these things out of the plastic packaging they're sealed in? This is also a mystery that no one at Rainso bothers to explain to anyone. Stylishly packaged junk - nothing more.
