Okay, I've used my 18V DeWalt screwdrivers and circular saws every day of my working life for twenty years. I have used these tools and batteries seriously and have never had a problem with them. I must have charged my four batteries a thousand times and never changed a single one. DeWalt makes a great product in my opinion. But then I retire, use my tools sparingly and frugally, and of course the batteries are old and worn out. Now the pair is defective and I wanted to replace it. STICKER SHOCK! DeWalt charges over $100 for a real DeWalt battery. I KNOW this is a reliable product, but I almost never use cordless tools again. Is this rare use of new batteries worth the $250? I figured it wasn't, and for less than $50 I got these two replacement parts from other manufacturers. Well, for now (about two months) I'm perfectly happy with my decision to go cheap. Batteries match the tools. They fit my chargers. They deliver enough power. .I can't ask for more performance from these batteries...until now. Caveats: I'm not promoting these batteries like I did when I was doing this for a living. So I can't promise Joe Carpenter that he'll be as happy with them as he was with the $100 alternative. 2 for $50.
