Replacing the water pump on my truck was probably the easiest and most enjoyable repair I've ever done. This pump repair is accurate, looks good and came with all the gaskets I needed and instructions detailed enough for anyone to use. Turns out the only thing that needed replacing was the thermostat to stop the leak, but if you're venturing into disassembly to fix it, replacing the water pump is relatively inexpensive and (for me) over 150,000 miles probably a wise decision. If you need a water pump for your Silverado, this is the one you should buy.
