The Huion HS64 is an affordable tablet depending on what you want to use it for. One of the main advantages is the compatibility with Android devices, but I think it works much better as an entry-level tablet that can be used with a PC. The tablet's active surface area has been reduced to match the device's screen ratio. Unfortunately, there's no visual indication on the tablet itself of where these narrower boundaries start and end, so it can be difficult to keep track of which area on the tablet corresponds to which point on your phone. And while the pressure sensitivity works great simply by plugging in a tablet, the lack of a driver and setup software means you can't use the pen's express keys or buttons. At least as far as I can tell I'll update my review if I find a way to tweak it. This means that to undo/redo, change brushes and colors, pan, zoom, etc., you have to use the Android device's touchscreen controls or emulate them with a tablet's stylus. I'm sure some people will be able to get this to work, but the constant switching back and forth between my screen and tablet didn't help create a good workflow. Compare this to how it works when used with a PC. You can customize the pen buttons and express keys to suit almost any workflow with any drawing program, and the entire tablet surface is activated so you always know where your cursor is going when you touch the pen. I think the HS64 would be a great entry-level tablet or an affordable alternative to more expensive brands or larger models when used with a PC. Android compatibility certainly works, but I didn't really enjoy using it that way. It's worth noting that in the past, several Huion pens stopped working for about two months after opening, seemingly for no reason. The stylus I received with the HS64 still works great but I will update my review if/if it starts to fail.
