Vehicle: 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5S with 130,000 miles Check Engine Light came on. I used my Bluetooth OBDII reader to read fault codes. Two trouble codes P0725 and P0335. There were malfunctions of the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor. This seems to be a general issue with Altima. This metal sensor is an upgraded version (all black plastic sensors are an older version). I looked at some DIY videos on Youtube and found a few. The exchange took me about an hour. The crankshaft sensor was very difficult to replace (due to its location). I called my local Nissan dealership and they charged $120 for each sensor (partial price only). They confirmed that you need to replace both sensors at the same time. From my online research I found out that the Hitachi CPS0003 is the actual part used by Nissan (OEM). I just didn't want to buy cheap non-OEM sensors since they were for my commuter car. I replaced both sensors today and they seem to be working with no problems (I drive a little over 60 miles every day). Update this review if I have any issues with it in the future.
