This adapter works but unfortunately not for my purposes. Our company uses older CNC software that requires connecting a sentinel interlock device, but the previously working drivers could not be installed on Windows 7 Pro. So it was a mistake in terms of usability. I've tried XP mode which should theoretically work, but XP mode doesn't virtually pass the hardware parallel port to the virtual PC, XP mode. I upgraded the Sentinel lock to a USB device. The problem is solved. If you're trying to connect an old parallel printer that still works, it should work fine on newer Win OSes.
