Great set, just too complex for an 8 year old.

This set is a great creative project! However it might be too heavy for an 8 year old, the recommended age says 8+ but my 8 year old daughter complained that it was too heavy so I ended up making it myself, she likes to sew more. however, I could see that she was discouraged at how complicated the steps were. The end result was the same as on the box once I was done. Very cute, not intended to be played after completion, but to be displayed.
