Trouble with desktop barebones

I've spent hours getting this to work on my pi4gb. It doesn't have to have the car model. So you can plug it in, download a file, run it, and know you've got it installed. exacerbates the lack of feedback as to whether it is operational. I will buy a competitor's product instead of figuring out how to use it. When trying to install drivers I went to Parrell Studio xe. idk whether it's necessary or not because the site is obscure and useless. If it doesn't have the software to just use it, it's not worth it. the annoyance alone makes it useless to me. In Windows, I can see that Windows recognizes the insert, but Windows doesn't show it as a device or anything. The setup software says it needs dozens of GB of support files. including Microsoft Visual Studio. the whole experience is aggravating and uncomfortable. and pointless. I was expecting an easy job steal, but instead there is a huge barrier to entry. there are several stacks of installation guides for the raspberry pi, but the order of installation is not clear.
